We are proud to have worked with our partners and to have seen the success they have had with our support. Read the case studies throughout this page to get an insight into the work we have done.

We were on a mission to celebrate the great success of local female coaches in sport, within Tyne & Wear with a campaign called #PassOnYourPassion, for all Northern CSP's. Read the information below to get an insight into to what we did and click on the case studies to read up on each coach's story.

Tyne & Wear Sport is embarking on the Pass On Your Passion campaign to recognise great coaches in our area and encourage more women into coaching. #PassOnYourPassion is currently taking place across the whole of the North of England and highlights the hard work and dedication of our female coaches, and the positive impact they have on the people they coach.

Currently only 30% of the coaching workforce are women and the percentage of women coaches receiving a qualification each year is 17%. We want to improve these statistics and we believe we can begin to do this by delivering upon the #PassOnYourPassion campaign.

The campaign involves 12 County Sports Partnerships in the North of England each dedicating a week to raising the profile of women in coaching.

Please click on the pictures below to read about some of our amazing female coaches that have demonstrated just how passionate they are about what they do.

The Ahead of the Game conference aimed to discuss how sport and physical activity in Tyne & Wear could improve in the future, in order to get more people more active. This event was one of the highlights of the year.

Our Active Workplace programme has gone from strength to strength in recent years, supporting local companies to improve health and wellbeing of their employees.

We have a dedicated team who, with the support of School Games organisers, provide local schools in the Tyne and Wear region with sporting opportunities to compete locally, regionally and nationally.

With the support of local partners, we successfully applied to host the AoC championships in Tyne & Wear for the first time in its history. Take a look at the short film to see some of the photographs from the event.
