We were delighted to work in partnership with Health Education England, to deliver an inclusive sport taster day for 60 people with learning disabilities at Newburn Activity Centre. On the day, participants were able to try out a range of fun sports/activities including; climbing, tennis, bootcamp, athletics and more!
Sustainability was a key focus of the day. All the organisations that delivered at the event provide regular opportunities for disabled participants to take part in both recreational and competitive sport / physical activity across Tyne & Wear. With having such a wide range of activities to experience, we hope that many of the participants will have found an activity they can continue to enjoy going into the future.
