In July the quality of the services delivered by Tyne & Wear Sport was reviewed by an independent assessor working on behalf of Quest, which is Sport England's recommended continuous improvement tool for sports development teams. The review concluded that we are continuing to deliver excellent services and that our strengths include:
- Having an excellent reputation, relationships and trust amongst partners
- The qualities, team spirit and commitment of staff are outstanding and recognised by partners and staff
- Robust policies and procedures
- Tangible improvements across different work and operational areas
We are delighted that we have had our Excellent status reconfirmed and we would like to thank everyone who contributed to the review and all those organisations that we have collaborated with in the past year for their help and support.
In addition to the Quest review, the quality of our delivery and infrastructure during the 2016/17 financial year was measured by Sport England. We are delighted that this assessment rated us 'green' for all five delivery and eight infrastructure categories. This is the second successive year that Sport England have rated us as a 'high performing' sports partnership and we would like to thank all of our partners and stakeholders for the part they have played in our success.
