Volunteer description:

Keep Active are looking for volunteers to help with their Multi Activity Camps during school holidays across the North East.

This is an ideal opportunity to gain vital experience for anyone wanting to work with children in a sports, teaching, a childcare environment or looking to give back to their local community.

The camps run from 08.45am until 3.00pm each day and have approximately 30-40 children aged 5-13 attending on a daily basis.

You will be overseen by a Camp Manager throughout the day and there is the potential to move from volunteer to a Level 1 Assistant (paid up to £100 per week), through to running your own camp as a Camp Manager (£200 per week).

You can commit to anything from just one day to the whole week - every day you volunteer makes a massive difference so Keep Active welcome any support.

Keep Active can reimburse up to £5 per day for travel expenses (please keep your receipts).

You will need a DBS Certificate and ideally you would hold either a Safeguarding or First Aid certificate; if you do not have these certificates then please still apply as they may be able to help you towards these.
