Tyne & Wear Sport, in collaboration with partners from the Tyne & Wear Disability Sport Forum, are delighted to be running ‘Active Disability Month’ this September. To read the case study from 2018’s ‘Active Disability Month’ please click here.

The campaign is using the hashtag #activedisabilitymonth. We’d be very grateful if you could share related tweets/posts and copy us in (@tynewearsport).

The overall aim of the month is to encourage disabled people in Tyne & Wear to get involved with some of the numerous physical activity opportunities available to them. To find out more about the campaign, and what will be taking place throughout September, please see below:

St James’ Park Networking Event

The networking event brings together providers of disability sport/physical activity along with disabled people’s organisations, to help them develop closer working relationships which facilitate more disabled people getting active. This year’s event is taking place at St James’ Park, on Thursday 19th September, between 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon

If you would like to host a market stall at the event, to advertise your organisation’s disability sport offer, please email: jack.liddle@tynewearsport.org by Tuesday 10th September at the latest.

(Please note that places for both market stall holders and attendees need to be booked in advance)
