Festival of Sport 2008

An opportunity for over 500 pupils from schools across Tyne & Wear to take part in a number of popular sports and find out how they can continue to play in local sport clubs and out of school programmes. The provisional list of sports already includes:

●Badminton ● Aerobics / Pilates ● Ultimate Frisbee ● Extreme Golf ● Boxafit ● Personal Fitness ● Street Cheer ● Climbing ● Orienteering ● Table Tennis ● Basketball ● Urban Funk ● Boccia ● Trampoline

This inclusive event aims to engage and encourage:

● Girls and boys from years 9 and 10 (disabled children from years 8, 9, 10 and 11)

● Young people not already participating in sport or competition

● Girls and young disabled people
