Wheelchair Rugby comes to North East schools

Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby stars will be at Oxclose Community School on Wednesday 2 July, to demonstrate this exciting sport and give youngsters a chance to have a go themselves. 

Wheelchair Rugby is a full-blooded, contact sport developed initially for tetraplegics - those whose disabilities affect both their lower and upper limbs and offers male and female players significant rehabilitational, health and social benefits as well as gaining athletic achievement at both national and World Class Sporting levels.

The event is open to all levels of disability and mobility difficulties attending secondary school or attending further education. The aim is to spread the word about this fun and frenetic wheelchair sport, so whatever your disability you are invited to go along and enjoy the day. Details of the day are as follows:
