Blind Football Coming to the North East

Published 20 January 2010

British Blind Sport and the Royal National College for the Blind are hosting a celebration of Blind Football here in the North East.

The road show, which will take place at the Louisa Centre in Stanley on Thursday 25 February, hopes to teach both players and coaches more about the sport as well as drum up support for the IBSA World Blind Football Championship which is coming to the UK for the first time in August. Youngsters aged nine and upwards will have the chance to take part in practical lessons learning the basics of the game while coaches will be able to take part in VI awareness and coaching sessions.

If you are interested in booking a place at the workshop please contact Nikki O’Donnell on 07825 506353. Places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment. The closing date is Friday 19 February.
