As the Club Development Manager I am responsible for leading on the satellite club initiative throughout Tyne and Wear. The satellite club programme is a key part of Sport England’s Youth and Community Sport Strategy for 2012–17 which aims to provide support for young people from school and college sport into community sport. My remit also includes working alongside a number of partners including schools, colleges, National Governing Bodies and Community Clubs.
I graduated from Teesside University in 2008 with a First Class Honours degree; I then joined Rugby Football League as the North East Regional Volunteer Coordinator progressing to Regional Development Officer before joining Tyne and Wear Sport.
I have always had a keen interest in sport, watching as much live sport as my time allows. I regularly attend the gym and I am a keen runner, taking part in the Race for Life every year for the past 11 years. I also completed 2012 miles in 2012 by running, cycling and swimming.
